Did you hear that? It sounded like honking, and it’s getting closer! There’s no need for alarm, though, it’s just Goosetopher the crochet goose. This friendly goose can be made in a seated position or laying down.

Reclining Goosetopher measures approx. 28 inches long, and the seated version is approx 18 inches tall (when made using recommended yarn).

Materials:

  • Approx 150yds Premier Basix Chenille in white (or a comparable blanket yarn)

  • Approx 40yds Premier Basix Chenille in mustard

  • 6.5mm crochet hook (or appropriate hook size for your yarn)

  • Poly-Fil stuffing or stuffing material of choice

  • Two - 1 inch black felt circles for eyes (Tracing a quarter works well as a template)

  • Tulip fabric paint in white (for eye shine spots) optional

  • Hot glue, E6000 or adhesive of choice (to adhere eyes)

  • Yarn needle

  • Scissors

  • Stitch markers

  • optional : Wire, cut pool noodle, foam, etc to be used as a neck support
